World fastest man, Usain Bolt , who is an eight-time Olympic champion appears to be dropping athletics for football. By doing so, he would be fulfilling his dream of becoming a professional footballer as he just reached a deal with Austtralia’s smallest team.
According to reports, the 31-year-old would be participating in a six-week trial starting next month with the Central Coast Mariners, a club outside Sydney. All things being equal, the Jamaican athletics champion is expected to start a season-long deal with the Mariners in October if he impresses them.
Tony Rallis, the sports agent who facilitated the deal, said:
” After 12 weeks of to-ing and fro-ing we’ve got a club, we’ve got a commercial agreement, we just need out football federationn to come to the party and we’ve got a deal”
