The colour red has been known to represent passion, courage, love, desire and energy.No wonder the lady in red is always in the spotlight. When it comes to red lips, it is even more alluring.
Now, wearing red lipsticks is not for the fainthearted. It is for the bold, sexy and brave woman who is confident in her abilities. However, wearing red lipsticks follow certain rules that must be adherred to so as to bring out its best.
They include:
1. Consider the rest of makeup
Play safe on other colours on your face so that you don’t come off clownish.
2. Use lip liners
They are ever ready handy to accentuate the lips and help in pouting.
3. Allow your lips do all the talking
Ensure you keep your eye makeup simple. A smokey eye and red lips is quite daring and acceptable but it would be best for an evening look than daytime look.
4. Think of your outfit
Red lips go well with an all-black outfit. It would also be great with a crisp white shirt for an office look. Then, if you are wearing red, try a different shade or tone of red so that you don’t look too match-matchy.
5.Think of the texture
If you are uncomfortable with wearing red lipsticks, go for a sheer texture.
