Beauty Makeovers for the Festive season

December 10,2018
Share:

It is that time of the year. The festive period has begun and with that the pressure to look and feel good. So get ready to prep your skin and look all gorgeous, for your lined up Christmas party.

The idea is starting your beauty prep as early as possible, especially if you want to look more like the belle of the ball rather than just the ordinary girl next door.
To help you look and feel a million dollars this festive season, we have put together the beauty makeovers you need to boost your confidence when you hit the party circuit.

1. Facial Scrub

To get the best of your makeovers begin with a facial scrub. Facial scrubs help to brighten the skin and add a glow. To use a facial scrub, choose a natural or chemical scrub suited for your skin type, massage the scrub into damp skin for one minute, then rinse and moisturise your skin. Repeat once or twice a week. With all of its benefits, you should consider making a facial scrub a part of your weekly skin care routine even after Christmas.

2. Get a facial before ‘the’ facial
To get a full facial treatment, we recommend an Exfoliating Bar Soap (to be used twice a week); it delivers gentle exfoliation and hydrates the skin with an infusion of effective ingredients to give a healthy glow.

3. Toners

Toners are a must do beauty routine, it helps to remove dirt and takes care of skin impurities, this will give you a beautiful look, help your makeup go on smoothly on the big day and ensure that you achieve that extra luminous look in photos. It’s all a matter of finding the right type for your skin. If you have oily or combination skin, an astringent might be the best option for you. If you have dry or sensitive skin, an alcohol-free toner will treat your skin better than others.

4. SkinCare

For the best results this season, your skincare routine will require some extra TLC and loads of hydration. Look for a product like this Lemon Basil Shower Gel, which is vital in giving you the much-needed sense of reinvigoration , enriched with soothing Aloe Vera gel from Organic Farming.

5. Moisturise

Moisturise day and night to keep your skin looking and feeling smooth and nourished from neck to toe.

6. Hair

Up your hair game with extensions and accessories. If you want to try out a new style this season, now’s the time to do so, you still have a few weeks to practice styling it. Do not be afraid to experiment with big hair or big curls. The festive season is all about turning it up a notch and playing with all the looks you ignored earlier. Transform your look with dramatic curls or weaves. Go big or go home
7. Body: Give your body the required lift
Nutritionists’ advice that if you are feeling sluggish, then making a few dietary changes now, may help. Focus on whole foods. Avoid processed foods, takeaways, sugar, alcohol and caffeine that may aggravate your gut. Another critical thing to remember is to stay hydrated. Aim to drink 2 litres of water daily, and this is to help you feel your best in the run-up to the party season.

8. Raise (or thicken) your eyebrows
There is a reason beauty girls spend a considerable amount of time to make sure their eyebrows are looking good. According to science, it’s the most important feature on your face. To give yourself an instant eye lift, licensed eyebrow designers suggests tracing the arch a little higher on the top of the brow instead of tweezing from underneath. Reach for a brow powder instead of your usual pencil for a subtle, more natural look. For sparse brows, try an eyebrow extender, and you will be amazed at the difference a thicker set of eyebrows can make.

9. Rock a red lip

Time to give those nudes a holiday and welcome deep and foxy reds back into your life. Red lips always give off a sophisticated and put-together vibe even when you are rocking minimal makeup as a scarlet pout is still a classic. Line your lips with a matching lip liner to get the perfect fill.

10. Smoky Eye Effect

A smouldering smoky eye is the ultimate party look. Instead of the classic black, why not try a pop of purple, navy or green for an unexpected twist.

11. Capture with your Fragrance

Since there is so much your fragrance says about you; it only fits that you know what your perfume communicates per time. For this Christmas season go with the Fruity or Oriental Fragrance
11a. Fruity Fragrances

Fruity fragrances are for individuals who want to come across as young and energetic at heart – wearing them says you are fun, spirited and lively.
11b. Oriental Fragrances: These fragrances are for exotic individuals who enjoy being bold. Wearing oriental fragrances speak of your unique personality and warm sensuality. Wear an oriental scent when you want to make a statement yet come across as exotic and striking.

12. Nail Beauty

Upgrade your nail colour this season and let your nails play the visible card when it comes to holiday beauty. Go for bold, colourful, and festive nail art looks that are guaranteed to get you in the holiday spirit.
