CharlyBoy reveals he married wife, Diane, for selfish reason
Entertainer, songwriter and activist, CharlyBoy, has revealed that he married his wife, Diane, for a selfish reason.
According to him, he reckoned that the little girl in her will make the boy in him be a peaceful and happy man
Popularly known as ‘Area Fada,’ the 67-year-old revealed this when he shared pictures of his wife on Instagram along with a loving message to celebrate her 60th birthday.
“When you woke up beside me one morning some 4decades ago and uttered those words, “marry me or I leave.
“I didn’t marry you due to lack of options.
“I married you for one pure and selfish reason: I figured that the little girl in you will make the boy in me a peaceful and happy man.
“Good job I was right! Happy Birthday from your besotted husband,” he wrote.
Although they have been living together as man and wife for 40 years, it would be recalled that CharlyBoy formally wedded Diane in December 2018, at the Chapel of Sisters of Jesus the Redeemer Catholic Church in Gwarimpa, Abuja.
He revealed after the ceremony that he and his wife decided to wed in a church to honour his aged mother.
They both met in the US while he was a student.
