Late US Rapper, Notorious B.I.G to get street named after him
The Brooklyn intersection would be renamed after Late American rapper, Notorious B.I.G. This is where he grew up so it will be renamed in his honour. The late rapper’s estate, the Christopher Wallace Memorial Foundation.
The ceremony will take place on June 10 to officially rename the Fulton Street intersection between Gates Avenue on St. James Place to Christopher Wallace Way. Several members of the Brooklyn rapper’s family are expected to attend the ceremony—which is open to the public—including his mother, Voletta Wallace.
The Brooklyn Community Board 2 had approved the initiative back in November but needed additional approval from the City Council and New York City Mayor Bill De Blasio—which they have now claimed.
