Royal fans line Windsor street for Meghan Markle’s baby announcement
The Duchess of Sussex is due to give birth any day now and royal watchers are gathering outside Windsor Castle as excitement reaches fever pitch.
Prince Harry’s wife previously revealed her due date was the end of April or early May but the tot is yet to make an appearance. The Sussexes recently moved to Frogmore Cottage ready for the baby’s arrival.
Meghan and Harry are keeping plans for the birth private but speculation is high that the US-born former actress will have a home birth.
If she does opt for a hospital delivery, she is not expected to follow in the Duchess of Cambridge’s footsteps by choosing the Lindo Wing.
Princess Diana also gave birth to Prince William and Harry at the exclusive maternity unit in Paddington.
The 37-year-old could choose the Kensington Wing at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, where her friend Amal Clooney is said to have given birth.
US-owned hospital The Portland, where Sarah Ferguson gave birth to Princess Beatrice and Eugenie, and Frimley Park in Surrey, favoured by the Countess of Wessex, are thought to be possible options.
Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland is believed to be staying in Windsor with the couple ahead of Baby Sussex’s arrival.
