When you see these signs on your vagina, it might be a sign of yeast infection, so run to the nearest gynecologist.

Signs That You Have Vaginal Yeast Infection

In a write up posted by a women ‘s health research blog states that, if you have a vaginal yeast infection, these are the signs to watch out for.

A yeast infection is not one that is considered a Sexually Transmitted Infection, STI, but it comes around due to different things such as diet and hormones. Research indicates that Candida yeast colonizes the vagina of at least 20 percent of all women and 30 percent of all pregnant women without causing symptoms.  In case you’re wondering here are some signs you may have the infection.

1. Itching in the vaginal area

If you’re constantly itching don’t assume that it’s the soap you used or something you ate. A yeast infection is like chicken pox down there, you constantly want to itch and it doesn’t just stop.

2. Your vagina feels like it’s on heat

You feel on heat or like a burn especially after sex, this is because of the friction. It’s best to wear dresses and no underwear if you have the option not to.

3. Your vulva may be swollen

After the burn, your vagina will feel sensitive and your vulva may be swollen and even feel too sensitive to touch or even wipe.

4. Thick discharge that is not smelly

You may get thick gray, whitish or yellowish discharge that will not smell but looks like cottage cheese and is thick even on your panties.

A yeast infection is easily treated with an anti-fungal cream but you need to be sure and confirm with a pharmacist or a doctor. It is easy to miss serious symptoms because you may be confusing it with a yeast infection. Make sure you confirm before using any medication.
