Singer Lami Phillips got many people surprised when she announced that she was going back to school for her fourth degree. Lami took to her social media page to share the news with her fans and followers.

Lami Phillips completed her BA (Hons) at the University of Kent, United Kingdom, then had her MA degree from the University of Nottingham.

She also has an Executive MBA from the Pennsylvania State University and now she is going to the African Leadership Center of London for another degree.

According to her, her desire is to die empty.

She said:

Cracks me up when I’m spotted on campus and the person is like “but aren’t you Lami the singer”? I’m like “yeah.. but I’m so much more! Why not get a fourth degree?” My mission is to die empty because my dreams are useless in the grave in it!

Being a postgraduate student and adjunct faculty at the African Leadership Center of @kings_college_london has opened my mind to so many possibilities and asserted my identity as a leader in my generation. There are many layers to LAMI. This is just one of them .
