Yemi Osinbajo welcomes Jack Ma as He visits Nigeria
Jack Ma visits Nigeria as a guest speaker at the Nigerian Digital Economy Summit which is scheduled to hold on the 14th – 15th November 2019.
Jack Ma is the founder of the Alibaba group and the richest man in China.
He arrived Nigeria ahead of the digital summit and was received by the vice president of Nigeria, professor Yemi Osinbajo.
Jack Ma spoke on how to build governance for a robust digital economy.
He admonished that the government should build polices that encourages businesses.
Also added that making people rich is through entrepreneurship.
Jack Ma also encouraged the government and successful entrepreneurs to empower the young ones.
Told a brief story of how he started Alibaba,
“it was very difficult to convince investors from the beginning, we created opportunities for the future.”
“I have people who believed in the vision we created together. Our investors saw that and believed too.”
‘my passion is trying to solve problems, I take challenges and solve problems to get bigger.’
The Nigerian Digital Economy Summit was held at state house Abuja.
The summit was hosted in partnership with Sweden in Nigeria, mastercard, trade invest etc. It was moderated by Dr Joe Abah
