Abuovbo Racheal Adeleke who prefers to be called ‘’Racheal Adeleke’’ is a professionally trained Fashion designer, Fashion instructor, Fashion stylist, and a fashion business consultant with a passion for creating unique fashion pieces as well as inspiring a new generation of fashion designers.
Born and raised in a home with her mother who was a fashion designer and seamstress. As legacy would have it, she quickly followed in her mother’s footsteps.
Racheal started sewing from her mother’s tailoring shop at a very young age and as she grew up her creative expression turned to designing and retailing clothes by starting ABVee fashion store in 2010, a ready to wear brand.
She has a BSC in Mathematics, an MSC in International Business Management and Certificate in Entrepreneur management (CEM) from the Enterprise Developmental Center of the Pan Atlantic University (PAU).
To further pursue her passion for fashion design, she proceeded to London to study a number of fashion courses including Draping on the stand (often called modelling), a pattern cutting method used by many leading designers today.
In 2014, Racheal noticed a gap for globally relevant fashion design training in Nigeria and launched Abvee Fashion Academy.
Racheal’s goal in founding Abvee Fashion Academy was to create an environment in which students could learn about globally respected high fashion and master the skills necessary to succeed in fashion.
Since its opening, Abvee’s mission has been to provide students with the technical foundation they need, preparing students with little or no experience to enter the fashion industry.
A woman with hands-on experience in running and growing fashion businesses to National brands. She has successfully trained and helped over 1000 women scale through her mentorship programme who are now fashion business owner.
