Funke Bucknor-Obruthe offer tips to first-time conference attendees
Founder Zapphaire Events, Funke Bucknor-Obruthe has offered useful tips to anyone attending a conference or an event for the first time.
According to her, one must go with an open mind and be determined to learn one thing that will change your life or business and ensure you implement it.
Funke, who is currently attending a conference in Dubai, UAE, added that one must also network; “you can’t keep to yourself, you have to meet people and engage.”
Here is her post on Instagram: “One quick tip for anyone attending a conference or an event for the first time.
“You have to go there with an open mind and be determined to learn one thing that will change your life or business and ensure you implement it.
“Secondly (yes I know I said one) you have to network, you can’t keep to yourself, you have to meet people and engage. You can start by complimenting them on their outfit, what you love about their business etc… Some people have attended 30 editions of this luxury wedding summit and others 15 , 8, 3 so they are veterans but about a few are attending for this first time ( yours truly ) and I had to put the skills highlighted above to good use.”
