Media personality, Toke Makinwa is celebrating 10 years of being an OAP.

In her words, this month makes it 10 years of being on the radio and it has opened so many doors for her.

In the video which she shared on “Toke Moment”, she talked about how she started her radio journey and how she’s not planning to quit her radio job anytime soon.

She said;

” 2010 was one of my lowest point in my life , it started off very interesting (for lack of better words ). It was one of those times I felt really low , I was working in the bank . The year started off crazy , I was jobless”

She went further to narrate how after taking an exam which will make her a permanent staff in the bank , she scored 49 instead of 50 and her uncle who was a bank MD at that time asked her to sit for the exam again.

Taking the advise of her sister , she went for radio interviews and after 3 days of dropping her voice drop at rhythm FM  ,she was confirmed for the job, resumed in June  and its been 10 years already.

She encourage viewers to hold on no matter how hard the year might seem, for her  at the beginning of 2010, she was jobless,broke and really low but by June she got her radio gig and it opened several doors for her .

From a radio girl ,She’s now a youtube vlogger, television presenter,an actor,author and an entrepreneur,all thanks to her radio job.

Toke emphasized on the importance of the journey and deciding to pursue a certain dream that will eventually make you happy.
