‘We are all broken differently, therapy saved me’ – Toke Makinwa

Media personality and entrepreneur,Toke Makinwa in a recent disclosure said ‘therapy saved me’. She emphasized that we are all broken differently.

She urged everyone to be very forgiving no matter how difficult it is as life is too short.

Toke hope to one day have the courage to share her recovery journey from PTSD(Post Traumatic Stress Disorder)

The media personality shared a video of Oprah Winfrey addressing her tense relationship with her mother and how she struggled as a child who was not accepted because of the colour of her skin and her looks.

She wrote;

“We are all broken differently. Therapy saved me, I’m not a,hundred percent but I can say that going to therapy has really helped. One day I hope I am brave enough to share my journey of healing from PTSD through therapy. Forgive someone today, I know its difficult but life is short and just like Oprah played music and finally thanked her mum, I pray you all get the courage to go to those dark places and come out with light. Love you all, TM.”
