Abdul, Jaga, Protek, Others Storm Xpression Club Party

Night-life in Lagos recently witnessed an unusual musical disruption as ace gospel act, Mike Abdul led other artists like Testimony Jaga, Protek Illasheva and other upcoming, to bring real energy to a gospel club party tagged, ‘The Xpression with CDO’ which held at Cubana, a night hub in Victoria Island.

The much publicized gospel party perceived as a distruption, ran into the night. The night began with some finest indigenous and urban contemporary gospel artistes such as Kelar Thrillz, Winter Amadin, Bee Cee Moh, who freely expressed themselves with no holds barred.

Much later, the likes of Mike Abdul, Testimony Jaga, and Protek took their turns to further light-up the atmosphere with their irresistble and danceable songs to the chagrin of those in the house.

Speaking with journalists, Mid-Night Crew member and special appearance, Mike Abdul, disclosed that the vision of the convener, John Ikeotuonye also known as CDO, has come to stay. He says it has caused a distruption and giving hope to as many youths who may not have found expression in the church setting.

According to Urban gospel artiste, Protek, he says God is the main reason he identified with the project. He added that he saw joy beaming on the faces of young people who came to use their talent to praise God and this is priceless, he noted.

On his part, fast rising gospel act, Testimony Jaga, who has a new album trending, “Not Normal” says, he is proud to part of the loudest praise party with CDO.

Speaking on the gospel club party initiative, CDO discloses.

“The club party is an unconventional way to reach the unchurched and disenfranchised with the good news of the gospel and God’s redemptive purposes.God is not stereotyped. He cannot be boxed. He can do anything to reach the unsaved anywhere which is why we are here in a club.He discloses.”

According to the organizer, the monthly gospel party event began in June this year and seeks to engineer a subtle reorientation of the more or less destructive habits of the average night lifer youth. The party holds monthly in our private studio while the louder version similar to this edition will feature quarterly, the organizer discloses.

Some of artistes who featured at the December edition include: Timi Phoenix, Femi Cleff, Chineke Boi, Sammy Jay, Street Preacher, Bouphy, Same OG, Destined Brothers and Oba Reengy among others.
