‘Covid is real, I survived it’ – Mr Raw warns
Okechukwu Edwards Ukeje, better known by his stage name Mr Raw (formerly Dat N.I.G.G.A. Raw), has informed his fans of his COVID-19 experience.
The rapper from Abia State South-eastern Nigeria made his health condition known via his Instagram page where he also warned other Nigerians to be careful and safe out there.
He shared a photo of himself and captioned it, “Covid is real….. I survived it.
I never knew I will enter the New Year a very sick person. I thought I had malaria in December and was busy treating malaria until I started having problems with breathing plus constant dry cough that came with it and I also lost my sense of smell…..it was a terrible experience.
I ran a test and it came out positive so I had to isolate ASAP and treat myself.
Thanks to all those who reached out….I truly appreciate you all ❤ and apologies to those i am yet to respond to their messages or return their calls. I am fine now.
Covid is real biko STAY SAFE! #covidsurvivor.”
Mr Raw is one of the pioneers of Igbo rap, a genre that now appeals to a broad, mainstream audience.
