Davido goes down memory lane as he recounts a point in his life he was broke
On Tuesday, Davido took to his Instagram page recounting a period in his life when he had no money and support.
Looking back on how far he has come, he wrote; “Damn I went to my old apartments where I used to live 12 years ago with Sina and Bred!!! As hard as it is to believe .. we had no money .. no support just us and a dream !! 12 years later! We millions in! Road to a billion 💵!!! We thank God !! Never stop believing !!”.
If you recall, Davido hasn’t always been a Naija bred. He grew up in Atlanta and schooled at Oakwood College in Alabama.
Davido bought musical equipment while at Oakwood and started making beats. He also worked with his cousins B-Red and Sina Rambo to form the music act KB International.
Davido dropped out of Oakwood University to pursue music full-time and relocated to London, where he worked on his vocals. After returning to Nigeria in 2011, Davido paused his music career and agreed to honor his father by enrolling at Babcock University.
In July 2015, he graduated from Babcock with a degree in music after his father paid the university to start a music department for an inaugural class of one student.
