“It is wrong and is a form of robbery” – Lala Akindoju calls out Actor Femi Durojaiye

Following the viral advert of Veteran Actor, Femi Durojaiye demanding money from up-and-coming actors to give them roles in his movie projects, Nollywood actress, Lala Akindoju has called him out for constituting an act of ‘robbery and extortion’.

Femi took to his Instagram account to ask interested actors and actresses to start their career by joining his movie projects.

He asked them to pay 35,000 Naira to participate and once payment has been confirmed they will be added to a “working group to start shooting”.

Lala also known as Kemi, slammed him for this and told young actors and actresses not to fall for it. She wrote:

A certain Mr Femi Durojaiye is running a promo for young/new actors to pay N35,000 to secure them roles in films. It is not a training or academy. Actors please don’t fall for this. Nobody should collect money from you in exchange for a role. It is robbery and it wrong. RUN!!!

Defending himself, Femi Durojaiye took to Lala’s comment section writing:

Run? Members of the armed forces are part of my Project, one actually took part in the first Movie shot. Another has been transfered out of Lagos to fight Boko Haram & he calls me every time he can & even asks his superior officers to speak with me. Run?

Many others have also shared their displeasure with Durojaiye’s promo.
