Niyi Akinmolayan advocates making animated character heroes to inspire children
Following the pronouncement of Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala as the next Director General of World Trade Organisation (WTO), many Nigerians have been advocating for projecting accomplished more Nigerian women, so as to inspire children to be like them.
One person who just added his voice to the many calls is Nigerian film-maker, director, Niyi Akinmolayan.
In a tweet on Tuesday, he wrote: “What we should be doing is making animated character heroes out of people like Chimamanda and NOI. So kids can aspire to be like them as they aspire to be Davido and Wizkid.”
Akinmolayan is also the founder and creative director of Anthill Studios, a media production facility.
