Actor, Kanyo O Kanayo bags African Community Service Award in US

Nollywood actor turned politician, Kanayo.O.Kanayo has been awarded with African Community Service Award by the African community in Alexandria Virginia, United States.
The 55-year-old took to his Twitter timeline to announce the achievement.
He wrote: “I was honoured with the African Community Service Award in Alexandria Virginia, United States.
“The award is designed to celebrate individuals and organisations who have sacrificed and invested their time and resources to the benefit of Africans all over the World.”
Born Anayo Modestus Onyekwere, the legendary actor has carved a niche for himself since the 1992 Nollywood movie, Living in Bondage. Kanayo was also a part of the Village Headmaster which featured on Television Play House as well as other soaps like Checkmate and Ripples. Since then his acting career has shot to the sky.
He recently announce his intention to run for a seat in the Federal House of Representatives in 2019, under the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) flag.
