Nigerian comedienne and actress, Bose Ogunboye, (AKA) Lepacious Bose, has revealed that she cried several times because out of frustration during her weight loss program.

In an Instagram post on Wednesday, while reacting to a follower, who wishes to lose weight and is already feeling frustrated, few days after she began the regimen, Bose counseled her to take each day as it comes. According to her, embarking on a weight loss journey is a long and tedious journey.

“Give yourselves time, be patient with yourself, follow the instructions that you are given; ask questions if you need to, ask for help like you have done now (am here for you). Don’t lie to yourself, give it your best shot; fat is a thief of joy, fight for your joy.” She counseled.

Here is the full post: “My darling, I can’t count how many tears I shed, I wet my pillow constantly with tears, it’s a scary journey, it’s a tedious journey and a very looooooonnnng journey. You, however, must realize that the journey of a thousand years starts with a step.

“When you are on a Weightloss journey you must take each day at a time. You did not gain the weight in one day, my darling you won’t lose it in one month. Give yourselves time, be patient with yourself, follow the instructions that you are given; ask questions if you need to, ask for help like you have done now (am here for you). Don’t lie to yourself, give it your best shot; fat is a thief of joy, fight for your joy.

“If I come to your sitting room and spill gutter garbage all over, will you keep quiet? No! You will fight me to stop and clean it up; that’s how you need to fight for your body.

“Trust me it’s not easy, no one is strong, it’s a battle, it’s a struggle but you have taken the first step, you have made a decision and

“You have spoken to a professional, next thing is to pray for strength and grace to stay consistent, not self-pity, not why me but YES I CAN! Trust God, he won’t leave you helpless.

Shalom!

See you on the slimmer side”

Lepacious Bose, who was on the big side, embarked on a weight loss program in 2015 and lost 70kg in weight within the spate of one year and a half.

She revealed in an interview that nothing motivated her to begin a weight loss program. It was just time and she felt like doing something different.

She has since maintained her slim figure, thereby making her a role model to many voluptuous ladies, who wish to cut down on their size.
