Toke Makinwa cries out over high electricity bills again
Media personality, Toke Makinwa has againcried out over high electricity bill she pays to keep lights on in her house monthly.
According to the broadcaster, it presently costs her N120, 000 a month.
And now that she understands government’s plan to increase electricity tariff again, she wonders if this country will kill people before their time.
“It presently costs me 120k a month to keep the lights on in my house and I hear they want to increase electricity tariff again, what is going on Nigeria?? I remember when my light bill was 50k a month, this country will kill you before your time.” She tweeted at the weekend.
The 36-year-old is already making enquiries about getting solar powered inverter, as she “This card/prepaid is not working” for her.
“So is solar energy the future? Who uses it and how is it working? This card/prepaid is not working.”
Recall that few months ago, Toke said in a similar tweet that she is going back to her village, Idanre in Ondo state while lamenting the increase in electricty tariff.
