But there’s a reason why candles are at the top of the list: They give just enough light to see your partner without being too bright. Plus, scented candles can help add a little perfume to the air and create a romantic atmosphere.

ALWAYS HAVE TWO NIGHTSTANDS

Whether you live with your partner or you live alone, make sure you provide enough storage space to make your guest feel welcome and at home. There’s nothing worse than turning over in bed after a long night, only to find there’s nowhere to place a glass of water or charge a phone.
