The United States will resume visa interviews in Nigeria
The US has announced that visa interviews and other consular facilities in Nigeria will resume.
Claire Pierangelo, the US Consulate General in Lagos, hinted at this at the opening of the extended pavilion.
The redesigned pavilion, according to Pierangelo, would offer a new safe place for visa applicants to socially separate themselves while waiting for their appointment.
She told visa applicants that the consulate is working hard to reschedule all impacted by the pandemic.
“We have put in place safety measures that not only protect our visa applicants but also consular staff who serve those applicants,” Hudspeth said.
Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, the consulate had an average of 1,000 visa and American Citizen Services clients every day.
