Nkechi Blessing and Lege Miami have been suspended by TAMPAN
Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday and her colleague Kehinde Adams, popularly known as Lege Miami, have been suspended by the state body of Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN).
The TAMPAN Guild has notified all guilds that they can no longer have any professional dealings with Nkechi Blessing and Lege Miami until further notice due to their latest social media embarrassment.
Remember that NBS and Lege Miami have been at odds on social media about the arrest of a colleague, Baba Ijesha, who was accused of sexually defiling a minor. About the fact that Lege later apologized after being dragged for his remarks, NBS proceeded to ridicule him, referring to him as a “classless fool.”
TAMPAN chairman Damilola Olatunji said in a statement that the actors’ unruly behavior and exchanging of negative verbal utterances is insulting to the association’s image and profession.
Damilola Olatunji stated that the decision was made in accordance with the directive of TAMPAN’s parent body because the existing display of shame between Nkechi Blessing and Lege Miami could no longer be tolerated; therefore, a punitive order became necessary to redeem the association’s reputation.
The statement goes on to say that no movie director from the TAMPAN association can hire Nollywood stars in any capacity, as anybody who does will face more repercussions.
