Doting Celebrity Fathers

Parenthood comes with a lot of responsibilities that not everyone is cut out for. While living in the spotlight is often time demanding, some Nigerian celebrities are putting in the work to ensure their children are in no way deprived of attention needed from them.

As we join the world to celebrate Father’s Day today, we are putting the focus on celebrity fathers who go the extra mile to be there for their children and show them off to the world.

Some of the doting celebrity dads also recalled how they felt when they welcomed their first fruit, as well as the most exciting part of being a father.

Junior Pope Odonwodo (Jnr Pope)

Nollywood actor and movie producer got married to his longtime girlfriend, Jennifer Awele Okpuno in 2014 and they are blessed with three sons.

Jnr Pope never ceases to rock similar outfits with his sons to the admiration of his fans.

On the most exciting part of being a father, Odonwodo hints, “Everything about being a father is exciting but when I hear my kids call out “Daddy,” some kind of joy and excitement run through my spine. I can’t truly in totality explain it but the feeling is heavenly. Bathing them, changing of diapers, school runs, feeding them, having to lecture them on a lot of things, etc are all exciting.”

Yul Edochie

Yul Edochie, the sixth child of veteran actor, Pete Edochie, was only 22 when he got married to May. They are blessed with four kids; a girl and three boys.

The actor and politician doesn’t hesitate to show off his beautiful kids on social media. He parades them with so much pride.

 “Wtching my kids grow into well-behaved children and doing well in school is the most exciting part of being a father for me” he said.

Abdulrasheed Bello ska JJC Slillz

Known in the entertainment circle as Skillz or JJC Skillz, the songwriter, rapper, and producer is happily married to Nollywood star actress, Funke Akindele aka Jenifer.

Before his marriage to Akindele in 2016, Bello fathered three other children.

From his posts on social media, Mr. Skillz’s 6 children are not far from him. Although some of them live abroad, he always celebrates and flaunts them for the world to see.

 “When your child sees you from afar and screams with joy and runs into your arms, full of joy and happiness, that alone makes me so fulfilled” He enthused.

Ninalowo Bolanle

If there is one happy man on Instagram, it is Bolanle Ninalowo, the father of Morakinyo and Aliyah and the husband of Bunmi Ninalowo.

He always gets his over four million fans excited with the way he dots and promotes his family on social media.

He also serves us daddy and daughter goals with his teenage daughter, Aliyah.

When asked the most exciting part of being a father, he gushed and said:, “It is how it consciously keeps me grounded and remaining a role model for my children. It is exciting to see that the things that mattered to me in life five years ago almost don’t matter anymore as priorities constantly change. Being a father, I have to show up in character always knowing that I am my kids biggest role model.”

Peter Okoye

The marriage between Peter Okoye and Lola Omotayo-Okoye has continued to be rosy despite various external vices that have tried to pull them down.

Peter is quite a domestic man, and hands-on dad and he often posts photos and videos of himself, teaching his two children, Cameron and Aliona certain things about life. At every family time and fun time, Peter is never missing in action, as seen on his social media posts.

Paul Okoye

Paul Okoye, also known by his stage name Rude Boy, got married to Anita Isama in 2014. The marriage is blessed with three kids; Andre, Nadia, and Nathan.

Despite his busy schedule, Paul creates time to bond with his children, share family time and excite his fans with the contents on Instagram.

Rude Boy doesn’t hesitate to tease his over seven million followers with videos of the fun moments with his children.

Emeka Okonkwo

Emeka Okonkwo, popularly known as E-Money, the husband of Juliet Okonkwo, is a proud father of three adorable boys. The billionaire and music label boss never shies away from enjoying time with his family. He recently had a lot of social media users swooned with his latest family photos.

When E-Money is not enjoying himself with his wife in a fancy city on a special vacation, he’s bonding with his children and dishing out major family goals.

Ayo Makun

Comedian Ayo Makun is a proud father of a teenage girl, Michelle.

In February when Michelle clocked 13, her doting father who never ceases to shower praises on his princess, took to his official Instagram page to share the good news with his fans and to pen a lovely message for his look-alike daughter.

“Dear Michelle Adeola Makun, turning 13 today marks another start in your life, may beautiful things never cease to happen in your life. May you continue to grow in wisdom and knowledge. May you continue to stand tall amongst your equals. As you grow into becoming a woman, I pray God perfects all that concerns you. My sweet baby, I wish you a happy birthday and happier moments in life,” he wrote.

Bovi Ugboma

Bovi Ugboma may be doing a good job at cracking people up whenever he gets on stage, or appears on our TV screens, but it also appears that he also doesn’t joke with his home front.

Bovi is one proud parent whose beautiful relationship with his daughter, Elena, always leaves many people in awe.

Only recently, the comedian shared a video that captured some wholesome moments with the little girl who is also his birthday mate.

Married to Kris Asimonye Ugboma, they are blessed with three kids, David, Elena Yoyo, and Peter Chuchu.

Timi Dakolo

Timi Dakolo and his family who he fondly refers to as the “yard people” have over the years, provided awesome entertainment for his online community.

It is beautiful to see how involved the singer and his wife, Busola, are in the lives of their children, Alexander, Hallel, and Zoe Dakolo.

The talented singer is known to be a good family man who shows love and support to his family members for the world to see.
