Force help on us if our government won’t ask – Bishop Okon cries out to developed countries
Nollywood actor, Bishop Imeh who is popularly known as Okon expressed his concern over the insecurity in the country and a pending outburst of a civil war in Nigeria.
In a video he shared on his Instagram page, the actor was seen addressing the Nigerian government. According to him, there is nothing shameful in approaching members of the global community for help. The Nigerian government should lower their ego and ask for help from these international bodies.
He further emphasized that if we could travel out to these neighboring developed countries for treatment, why can’t the government seek for help over the insecurity issues we are facing?
He called out to international bodies to forcefully help Nigerians if the government is not asking for help or refusing to be helped.
Okon noted that, if a war breaks out in Nigeria, there would be too many Nigerians who will become refugees and the population pressure on these countries. He made an example of the impact of civil war in Syria that displaced so many refugees Europe couldn’t inhabit.
He asked “what would be done if there is civila war in Nigeria and over 200 million refugees are displaced?”
