This year’s edition of the Runway Trybe show which was held recently in Lagos, was a magnificent celebration of African fashion.
With the Theme; ‘Fashion Without Limit,’ the event which was held at the Oriental Hotel, Lagos, featured amazing afrocentric designs from different designers from across Africa, US and Europe, with Nigeria’s Ejiro Amos-Tafiri as headline designer.
She showcased her SS21 collection alongside her other collections all portraying the beauty of the African woman.
US designer Sorobis showcased his “Dafinsso” collection, which uniquely portrayed the “African consciousness.”
Ghana’s Mensah collection tagged “Fuse” was an Afrocentric, gender fluid Collection that represents the Voice of the unattended.
About 50 models hit the runway in collections that were made with wax print and other detailed colourful fabrics.
Organised by AfroUkOnline, the vision of the brand is to showcase the very best of Africa’s fashion across the globe.
The event was witnessed by fashion enthusiasts from all walks of life who graced the occasion in colourful and eye-popping attires.
