Comedienne Lepacious Bose ruminates on weight loss journey

October 21,2021

It’s been eight years since comedienne and actress, Lepacious Bose embarked on a weight loss journey.

And she has been ruminating on how far she has gone on this journey, which was motivated by an encounter with her nephew, Simi.

She shared a throwback picture on Instagram of herself in an outfit in 2014 and what she now looks like in the same outfit, after losing weight and expressed delight at her progress so far.

Addressing those who want to embark on a similar journey, the lawyer-trained-entertainer noted that losing weight is tough, and keeping it off is tougher. It is a lifetime battle that one must first win in one’s mind!

Here is her post:

“In 2014 @omobabacomedian and I were in London to receive the Afro Hollywood awards, I had lost about 30kg here and I was so proud of myself. At this point losing 30kg was like achieving the impossible. It felt soooooooo good! I thought if 30kg down feels this good maybe I should try about 10 more.

Fast forward to 2021 and 110kg down, added back 40kg lost 30kg of that so back and forth, you might say I have waded through about 140kg in the past 8 years! Wooow! Just woooow! 💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾

When the @oxbridgenigeria gave the theme of their event as Bridgerton, I went into the archives, dragged this dress out, revamped it and absolutely love the outcome. Yes Nigerian lady Danbury 😂😜😂😜

This particular throwback sweet me die! Impossibility is only as strong as you allow your mind to hold you down! Losing weight is tough, keeping it off is tougher, it’s a lifetime battle that you must first win in your mind!

8 years and counting…… #stilltoolegittoquit”
