Fateemah Suara: Contemporary fashion brand rooted in African heritage
By Rita Okoye
Fateemah Mobolaji Suara is a woman of many parts. She is a fashionpreneur, relationship coach, marriage counselor and author.

As a fashion brand, Fateemah Suara emerges as a unique and modest place where modern trends merge seamlessly with the vibrant and diverse heritage of African culture.
While embracing boldness and confidence in her creativity, the fashion brand equally celebrates beauty of modesty, which reflects in all her designs and creative works.
Speaking about her collection, Fateemah said: Our designs encompass a fusion of modern trends and authentic African elements, resulting in unique and captivating pieces that empower the wearer. From innovative cuts to captivating patterns and thoughtful fabric choices, each creation embodies the essence of our brand – bold, confident and deeply rooted in African heritage.”
Fateemah draws inspiration from the rich African traditions, textiles and designs. “At our brand, we draw inspiration from the rich tapestry of African traditions, textiles, and designs, infusing them with contemporary fashion influences. We believe that modesty is not about limitations but rather a powerful expression of personal style and self-assurance, she stated.
Fateemahs collection is characterised by vibrant colours, flowing silhouettes, and regal aesthetics. It aims at evoking a sense of elegance, grace and modesty, while embracing the beauty of bold hues and captivating designs. The array of clothes includes floor-length gowns made with silk satin; jumpsuits that combine comfort and elegance with a belt to accentuate the waistline; long, flowing maxi dresses that exude a sense of effortless elegance, as well as luxurious kaftans crafted with rich fabrics and intricate detailing.
However, aside being a fashion design guru, Fateemah Suara is also an activist of healthy relationships. A staunch believer in love, she demonstrates affection, kindness and loyalty in her everyday life.
To her, its a painful thing to see couples or love birds that could never go for long hours without calling or sending messages to each other, avoid one another like plague when the going becomes rough.
It breaks my heart whenever I see couples or love birds, whose hearts would flutter and faces beamed with smiles at the thought of spending the rest of their lives together, go their separate ways at the nick of a crisis.
Even some would suddenly grow cold and bitter at each other, going in and out of lawyers’ offices and throwing divorce papers at each other due to breakdown in communication.
So, I spend everyday of the week helping married couples develop strategies that will bring relief to their relationship crises, bringing them to a place of awareness and understanding. I equally coach the singles on the right techniques to employ in their relationships,” she stressed.
