Moses Ebere

Vetearn ace director who worked on Nollywood classics like Living In Bondage, Moses Ebere, is dead.

A colleague to the filmmaker, Amayo Uzo Philips, confirmed his demise in a post via his Facebook page on Wednesday.

It is understood that he had passed away on Tuesday.

Uzo wote;

“[I] heard very bad news about Moses Ebere, one of the oldest Nollywood veteran directors. Met him in the ’80s as a powerful editor and that was before the coming of Nollywood.”

“[I] spoke with him regularly recently because he was planning to come [and] shoot in my state.

“And I was helping him with an epic location. This night one of my writer friends called me to say that Moses has passed on today. Sad news for me.”

Meanwhile, the cause of his death is yet to be ascertained.

Ebere started out as a film editor in the early days of Nollywood.

He edited some of the earliest Nollywood hits and television series, including ‘Living in Bondage’.

Other projects he worked on are ‘Glamour Girls’ and Nigeria’s longest TV series ‘Ripples’ produced by Zeb Ejiro.
