Fast-rising Nigerian singer, Akintunde Abiodun Timileyin, better known as TI Blaze, is alleging a threat to his life by the Lagos police operatives.
On Thursday, a video surfaced on social media of the singer’s associates raising alarm that he had been arrested.
According to one of his associates;
“They’re always harassing TI blaze. They’ve arrested him. See the plate number.”
The singer had taken to his Instagram handle, prior to this, to write in Pidgin English:
“Police tell me say if na bush side, they will spray everybody. This country is gone,” the post, with emojis.”
TI Blaze’s latest trouble with the Lagos police comes less than two weeks after two of the singer’s associates were arrested by some operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in a midnight raid.
The singer had shared a video of his apartment in disarray while calling out to Nigerians to pray for his team.
“NDLEA bumped into my apartment this morning and scattered everywhere. They say I sang about Canadian loud. They also arrested my manager and road manager. They took them away in their Hilux.”
But Femi Babafemi, NDLEA spokesperson, who sent a mugshot of one of the singer’s managers, told TheCable news media that 2.7 kg of cannabis loud, 5.2 gms of methamphetamine, and 13 tablets of molly were recovered from his home.
