Nigerian singer, Oluwajuwonlo Iledare, better known as Jaywon, has called out his colleague, D’banj, over the allegation of song theft.
D’banj had enlisted the help of Skibii and Holly Hood Bay Bay in a track title ‘Face Show’, a song he put out on Friday.
However, shortly after the release of the song, Jaywon took to his Instagram stories to insinuate D’banj allegedly stole the song with claims that it belongs to a budding artiste under his management.
He wrote:
“After calling to ask my artist to drop his song and he refused your offer, then you went ahead to release the song.”
“Abah! Dbanj and management. You can do better.”
Although the Koko Master is yet to react to the allegation as of the time of this report, it remains to see if the song was stolen.
Jaywon is a songwriter, actor and producer. In 2009, he signed a record deal with Kennis Music under which he released Odun Yi (This Year), the award-winning hit single, that shot him into limelight.
