Toyin Lawani calls out Chioma Ikokwu for spreading rumours about her

Toyin Lawani and Chioma Ikokwu

Nollywood actress and fashion entrepreneur, Toyin Lawani, has called out her colleague and businesswoman, Chioma Ikokwu, for spreading rumours about her.

Lawani was recently called out on Twitter for allegedly belittling her co-star, Laura Ikeji’s son.

the housemates of the show, Real Housewives of Lagos, had attended Laura Ikeji’s runway show and Lawani, who was seated next to Ikokwu had shown her something on the phone.

Ikokwu, however, claimed that Lawani was comparing her son, Tenor to Ikeji’s son.

Taking to her Instagram page, Toyin Lawani called out both Chioma Ikokwu and the reality show organisers for painting her in the wrong light.

She accused Ikokwu and others she did not mention, of judging her blindly and making others have misconceptions about her.

According to the fashionista, she cares about others, empowers, supports people’s businesses and goes as far as making friends with strangers.

Further, she accused Showmax, the platform on which the show is streamed, of not airing all the things she said about Laura’s son when she saw him on the runway, but choose to instead, play up falsehood.

She said:

“I was overjoyed and I said that was the highlight of the show for me. I love children and carry them along whether they are mine or not.”

She added that if she knew kids would walk the runway, she would have brought her son to walk too because he is good at walking runways but denied ever putting Ikeji’s child down.

Lawani insisted that she was extremely devastated with Ikokwu’s rumour because she isn’t that kind of person.

“It doesn’t represent who I am because I love kids.”

“As for Chioma, all I have to say is that when people know you genuinely like someone they don’t like, they tend to cause havoc. Many are good at playing that game, but I am not. I am going to ask Showmax to do the needful because I won’t stand for such content when it has to do with kids. I am not up for such games. They have the footage and anyone who judges me falsely when God in heaven knows the truth will also feel the pain of being lied against one day.”
