Noxx Style celebrates kids by releasing new kidswear collection, Cherub

Noxx Style, an adult and kids-wear clothing brand, has extended its kid’s clothing line with the release of a new kidswear collection, Cherub.
Co-founders Bens Vivian Uchechukwu and Onyeka Sandra Oleka deliver garments that combine technical precision with child-friendly designs, showcasing the brand’s ability to marry creativity with pragmatism.

The collection was released on May 27, 2022, to corroborate the worldwide Children’s Day celebration. At the heart of this collection are patterned jumpsuits for girls and bright, bold denim two-piece outfits for boys. Each piece demonstrates a thoughtful approach to fit, functionality, and presentation, underscoring the collaborative synergy of Vivian’s illustration skills with Sandra’s technical prowess in garment construction.
The square sleeveless necklines are crisp and fresh, a clever choice that balances clean lines with youthful appeal. The use of back zippers is functional, facilitating ease of dressing for children – an often underappreciated practical element in kidswear. While the patterns add vibrancy, there is little experimentation with texture and trims.

For instance, introducing subtle details such as soft pleats at the waistline and contrasting stitch lines could have added more style to these jumpsuits. The bold-coloured denim two-piece outfits for boys are, without question, the collection’s centrepiece.
The bright orange hue immediately challenges conventional perceptions of denim, delivering energy and novelty. It’s a choice that aligns well with current trends toward non-traditional hues for children. The accompanying pants present a fascinating detail with pockets at the kneecap region.
In terms of construction, the brand delivers what it is known for. The construction skills are evident in the reinforcement of stress points and overall garment durability. The double-stitching on the jackets, for example, reflects foresight for wear and tear.
Yet, finer finishing – particularly around pocket seams and buttonholes – could use refinement to reduce fraying and bulkiness. Fit is where Cherub excels. The girls’ jumpsuits offer a clean form that balances structure and comfort. The square neckline and sleeveless design allow for breathability, while the back zipper ensures ease of wear. For the denim two-piece outfits, the inclusion of a front zipper on the pants ensures easy dressing, while the slightly relaxed trouser fit offers comfort without compromising style.
Visually, the collection aligns well with Noxx Style’s established creative style of blending classic elements with modern trends. However, conceptually, the collection could benefit from an overarching narrative.

For instance, tying the pieces together under a central theme – be it storytelling, childhood nostalgia, or adventure – would provide an added layer of intrigue that enhances emotional resonance with buyers. The market reception of Cherub is likely to be positive, particularly among urban parents who value contemporary designs. These pieces also possess commercial versatility -perfect for small-batch boutique stores or upscale children’s fashion retailers.
