Wizkid becomes first headlining African act for Saudi Arabia’s largest gaming event
Ayo Balogun, better known as Wizkid, the afrobeats phenomenal superstar, has broken another record by being the first artist to ever serve as the headlining act at Gamer8, the world’s largest gaming convention, in Saudi Arabia.
The event is still going on in Saudi Arabia’s famous NXT LVL Arena on Riyadh Boulevard.
The largest esports and gaming festival in the world, Gamer8, features competitions combined with entertainment and cultural events. It began on July 14 and will conclude on September 8.
A few weeks after he was revealed as the headlining act for the upcoming Rolling Loud Festival in Miami, New York, Wizkid gave a performance at the gaming event.
At the occasion, he will perform alongside other world-renowned artists. Dave, a British rapper and cum vocalist, will perform as the opening act on September 9; Future, an American rapper, will follow on September 10; and Wizkid will wrap up the three-day event on September 11.
