Funke Akindele’s ‘Bukka on the Street’ hits N135m in one day

Nollywood star actress and Lagos deputy governorship candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Funke Akindele, is pleased that her recently released film, “Battle on Buka street,” has broken a record for the film industry by hitting more than N135 million in a single day.

The project continues to be the most popular Nollywood movie project for a second week in a row.

On Tuesday, the delighted actor posted the happy news on social media. She was grateful to her supporters for their steadfast support and for swarming numerous movie theaters to see her film.

She wrote;

Buka on Battle street hits N135 million, the biggest single day for a Nollywood film in 2022 – 26m on 25/12/2022.

Work hard! Pray hard!
Stay positive!!! Iyanu ma sele!!

The story of “Battle on Buka Street,” which had its premiere on Sunday, December 11, 2022, is about two ladies competing against one another in a food challenge for the coveted title of “King of Buka Street,” which is awarded to the area’s top street vendor.

Femi Jacobs, Mercy Johnson, Kelvin Ikeduba, Bimbo Ademoye, Tina Mba, Sola Sobowale, Nkem Owoh, Tobi Makinde, Funke Akindele, and a host of other actors, all featured in the film.
