Church honours Gospel singer, Buchi 24 others
Popular Nigerian gospel artiste, Atuonwu Buch, known as Buchi, and 24 others, have received recognition awards for distinguishing themselves in their various fields of endeavours.
Organised by The Dominion Harvest International Church Fadeyi, Lagos, recipients were presented with their awards at an event, held at the main hall of the University of Lagos, Akoka.

The event also provided an avenue to pray for the forthcoming general elections in Nigeria.
Speaking, Pastor-in-charge, Abiodun Oso stated that the purpose of the recognition/award was to celebrate born-again Christians, who have distinguished themselves in their various endeavours such as education, technology, music, entertainment, and others.
“We need to celebrate them while they are still alive so that they can continue to be ambassadors for Christ. When the successful ones are celebrated, more born-again Christians will also be encouraged that somebody is watching them.
Pastor Oso revealed that the criteria for selecting the recipients of the awards are that the person must be keeping the values of the kingdom of God, and must be doing well in his or her business.
Buchi expressed appreciation to God, and the organisers of the award saying, “It is from the church and not from the industry. So it is like God saying I have seen what you are doing thank you for it.
Also speaking at the event. Dr. Olumide Emmanuel, General Overseer of Calvary Bible Church, Lagos, who is also an awardee, charged the audience by saying that as the next general election is approaching, a new Nigeria can be born, “A new Nigeria, where the values for the new breeds of Nigerians must be itemised, and every Nigerian must play a part in it.
He urged the people to be involved in the process because if they are not part of the solution, they will be part of the problem.
