Elon Musk removes Davido, Burna Boy, Wizkid’s Twitter verification badges
Nigerian singers, Davido, Burna Boy, and Wizkid’s verification badges have been removed on the microblogging platform, Twitter.

Checks by Allure Vanguard on the microblogging platform showed that the verification badges on their account have been yanked off.
Asides, the musicians, Elon Musk has also removed the legacy verification badge of over 400 thousand notable persons including Pope Francis, Peter Obi, former president Donald Trump, singers Justin Bieber, Katy Perry and Lady Gaga, soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo and shockingly Twitter founder, Jack Dorsey!
The blue checkmark will now only be available to those who pay $8 to Twitter, as part of the Twitter Blue service.
This new development may be connected to the non-payment of their verification subscription fee announced by Twitter Chief Executive Officer, Elon Musk.
Elon Musk had announced the final date for the free Blue badge removal via his verified account badges to be on April 20, 2023.
