Nigerian music sensation and founder of David Music Worldwide, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has shared the story of how he discovered his two latest signees, Morravey and Logos Olori.

Morravey, whose real name is Daniella Daniel, and Logos Olori, also known as Olamilekan Taiwo, joined Davido’s record label in March 2023.

In an interview on the Afrobeat Podcast, Davido revealed how he found Morravey on Instagram.

“The beautiful Morravey with a voice that nobody has. I was home one day on my phone watching Instagram reels. I saw her singing a cover of Fireboy’s song. Her voice was so amazing and I was like who is this girl because she wasn’t tagged on the post? I had to go into the comments and scrolled through over 400 comments to look for her name. I finally got her page and sent her a DM,” he said.

Davido was drawn to Morravey’s unique voice and sent her a direct message, telling her to get ready to become a star. After some initial disbelief from Morravey, Davido sent her some money to arrange herself and a flight to Lagos.

Davido’s original plan was to groom her and maybe drop a single in September, but she impressed everyone with her pen game and ended up contributing to his album.

Regarding Logos Olori, Davido shared that he met him through Magic Sticks and Asake. Logos Olori had written the hook on “Available” and would come to the studio every time Magic Sticks was there.

On the last day of recording, Davido asked him how far and found out he had no platform, so he invited him to join the label.
