LAST FIRST KISS @ NEW YEAR EVE

December 31,2023
Share:

The tradition of kissing at the stroke of midnight on New Year’s Eve is a moment for celebrating loved ones, old and new especially if looking to spark some romance under the buckets of confetti or you simply just want to spend quality nighttime with your beau during the season.
New Year’s Eve is about the last hurray of the year which happens to be the final event in a holiday romp of eating, drinking, and celebrating.

Being the last day of the year gives you an ample chance to let your hair down before you start making and keeping those New Year resolutions. It is also that time of the year to wear glitzy clothes, reflect on the past, and ponder on future resolutions coupled with kissing at the stroke of midnight.
Generally, kissing is a touchy subject. Hence, you may decide to attend New Year’s Eve service, stay indoors to watch your favourite movie television, or toast champagne at upscale parties/nightclubs; a tradition that makes case for celebrating the new year with loved ones you enjoy hanging out with.
Almost everyone attends New Year’s Eve services in the church, especially the Christians. The non-believers are not left out as everyone wants to enter the New Year in the house of God. At the sound of the clock at twelve o’clock, people hug and wish each other a happy New Year while the love birds among them indulge in pecks and kissing
It is possible you might just hit the reset button on your love life as the superstition might be true if a kiss on the eve of a new year is an opportunity to start off the next year on the right foot.
It symbolises strengthening times with the person you want to spend time with and form a solid foundation and bond with, in the future. And legends say it may not go well for the relationship of the couples who do not kiss at midnight.
If your love life happens to be boring in 2023, kissing a stranger might mean you will take more risks in 2024. Focus on the positive manifestation of what a New Year’s Eve kiss might mean but if you believe that kissing somebody when the clock strikes 12 pm will usher something good no matter what it will be, then that is just what will probably happen to you.
Personally, do not believe that not kissing someone on New Year’s Eve means doom for an entire year of lovelessness.
My angle on superstition is that it is better to be choosy about finding the right person to kiss at midnight than grabbing just anybody when the ball drops.
Kissing on the cheek, not necessarily on the lips; as a genuine kiss on the cheek is harmless and even a quick brush on your cheek against theirs is perfectly acceptable in a New Year’s Eve gesture. Even when with a person of interest, don’t overdo it. Give the person a quick kiss and leave the passionate lip lock for the bedroom.
And before giving a New Year kiss, be sure your breath is minty fresh. No, stressing over a midnight lip exchange; it is merely tradition, and if you are uncomfortable with forced affection, no problem. Traditions are meant to be broken, so, let no old custom spoil your night of fun with loved ones.

New Year can even help get you out of your comfort zone if craving for a change. So, make the first move by planning a date night for today, December 31st, 2023.

SEE YOU TOMORROW IN THE NEW YEAR!
