Review of The Swigs and Swoons from Urban Fitters

The Swigs and Swoons by Urban Fitters is a collection for men who are professionals yet appreciate street style without having to question the disparity between formal and informal wear.

The Collection, which epitomizes the essence of eco-friendly fashion practice, finds the balance between looking fun-ready and walking into a formal event without looking odd. Elegant, classic, modern, and sophisticated, the embedded pieces include Two-piece reinvented Conductor-like Shirts, Sweatshirts, and Bespoke Pants.

The shirts are of two types, namely dress shirts and regular shirts; both types have one or two breast pockets carefully tailored to the front of the shirt, while the collars are in the styles of Bishop neck collar, Spread, and button-down collar.

Some trousers have drawstrings, while others are in Suit trousers with an option for a belt hole or an adjustable elastic waistband.

The shorts have three pockets, two by the sides and one at either the left or right side of the back of the shorts. This Collection is available in Slightly Burnt Orange, Brown, Sky Blue, Lilac, Hot Pink, and Grey.

Urban Fitters unveiled the Swigs and Swoons Collection in a private fashion show organized by the brand.

The Collection, released as a nod to every classic man in the world, is crafted for comfort and designed with an infusion of artistic ideas.

Upon a critical review, it is evident that the Creative Designer of Urban Fitters, Chukwuemeka, has used this Collection to reinforce his commitment to sustainable ethical fashion practices by using fabrics like Wool, Chinos, and Cotton to interpret his idea with a thorough garment construction process.

This strategic approach affirms the brand’s devotion to use leftover fabrics to create original designs.

Chukwuemeka Nwabuine showed his technical ability in fabric sourcing, pattern making, and fine tailoring.

The slits at the helm of the ankle of each pant, for instance, is a detail that attests to his intentional technical skills on the Swigs and Swoons collections.

It is no wonder that the fashion enthusiasts who were at the unveiling of the Collection were full of praise even as much as they made little reservations about the absence of 3D embroidery patterns that may have elevated each piece in the Collection.

The Swigs and Swoons collection by Chukwuemeka Nwabuine of Urban Fitters is a sustainable collection whose aesthetics cannot be overlooked in any way, as it encourages the use of recyclable materials further while improving the fashion trend that the brand has set.
