The New Essence of Her Collection by Our Zina Reinvents Modern African Elegance

Our Zina, a new Nigerian fashion house that is changing the way modern African minimalism looks, has released its newest collection, Essence of Her. It is a refined look at volume, texture, and the quiet strength of modern femininity.

The collection was designed by the brand’s founder and artistic director, Toluwani Ayelabola. It shows how much the brand cares about making functional, timeless pieces that are inspired by African culture but made for women all over the world. Our Zina is at the forefront of Nigeria’s changing fashion scene because of its focus on clean lines, artisanal details, and breathable fabrics.

With Essence of Her, the brand turns basic clothing into sculptural works of art that show who you are. Linen shapes make you feel pure and grounded, while mesh layers add movement and emotional depth.

This is a personal nod to the stories that women have passed down through the years. Our Zina’s philosophy is that clothes should be lived in, not just worn. Each piece is made with this in mind, a style that can be felt before it is seen.

Ayelabola calls the collection “a portrait of the Our Zina woman, strong, graceful, expressive, and beautifully complex.” We make things for women who are real and strong in a quiet way.

The collection shows that the brand pays close attention to tailoring, sustainable practices, and telling stories about culture, in addition to how it looks. The way it shapes its silhouettes, uses light fabrics, and has flowing structures is a modern take on African elegance that connects the past with the present.
