Africa Fashion Week London (AFWL) is back for its 14th edition, set to take place on the 11th and 12th of October at the Kensington and Chelsea Conference Event Centre. As part of Black History Month 2024, AFWL2024 promises to be an extraordinary celebration of African fashion, culture, and heritage.

This year’s event will showcase over 30 African-heritage vendor brands, offering guests the opportunity to browse and shop a diverse range of products. The highlight of the event will include three catwalk showcases featuring the best African designers in the world. These showcases will display the latest fabric designs from the Adire Oodua Textile Hub, a tribute to African fashion icons, and a showcase of sustainable fashion practices.

AFWL2024 is delighted to welcome back the incredible Mary Martin London, who will be opening the catwalk at 1pm with a special 45-minute retrospective showcase of her 10 years at AFWL. The event will close out with Samson Soboye’s incredible show of Black Majesty at the VIP 7pm catwalk.

In addition to the fashion shows, AFWL2024 will feature cultural performances and entertainment, providing guests with an immersive experience into African culture. The UK Africa Trade Expo will host discussions on African trade, fashion, culture, and heritage, with industry experts and leaders sharing their insights and experiences.

The event will also feature a marketplace showcasing African fashion, beauty, and lifestyle brands. Guests can expect to see intricate beading and embellishment from Trade & Investment Kwa Zulu Natal designers, as well as a range of timeless, sustainable staples for their wardrobes.

Foodies will be in for a treat as well, with the best black-owned food vendors available at the foodhall. Guests can sip on signature cocktails while watching the shows, making for an enjoyable and memorable experience.

AFWL2024 promises to be an unforgettable experience, celebrating the very best of African fashion and culture. The event will take place from 12pm to 9pm on the 11th and 12th of October 2024 at the Kensington & Chelsea Conference & Event Centre, Hornton Street, London W8 7NX.
