Dolly Ifeyinwa Nwaduba Launches Charity Drive Amidst Film Promo

In a recent press conference, Dolly Ifeyinwa Nwaduba, CEO of Dolly’s Signature Ltd. and Nollyplug TV, unveiled a new charity initiative aimed at supporting families during these challenging times.

Amidst the promotion of her latest film, Drawn to You, Nwaduba announced a charitable effort to give back to the community. The film, which will soon be available on streaming platforms, inspired her to support those who regularly invest in such services despite financial constraints. To alleviate the burden on families, especially as children head back to school, Nwaduba’s team has distributed school supplies, rice, and other essentials.

“My movie is going to the streaming platform, and once it’s there, these people are the ones who would painstakingly spend their hard-earned money to subscribe,” said Nwaduba. “I wanted to find a way to give back, especially given the current economic difficulties. I thought it would be meaningful to help ease some of the financial strain on families preparing for the new school year.”

Nwaduba also shared her personal connection to the initiative. “Growing up, my aunt always provided for me, but I never had the chance to have a new school bag frequently. I know how much a simple thing like a new school bag can mean to a child. I wanted to give others the same joy I once sought.”

Drawn to You, Nwaduba’s first completed script, has been a long-time passion project. “I started writing when I was 13, but this script is special because it’s the first I ever finished. After years of rewriting, I finally completed it during film school in the U.S. and knew it was the right time to bring it to life.”

Despite the absence of major sponsors, Nwaduba expressed gratitude to those who supported the initiative, including Dr. Nelson Aleya, a passionate advocate for African causes. She highlighted the communal effort, noting that many friends and colleagues contributed their time and resources without compensation.

Nwaduba also reflected on her personal experiences and challenges as a filmmaker, emphasizing the human side of the entertainment industry. “We’re all human and understand the hardships people face. Even though it may not always be visible, we endure many struggles behind the scenes to create the films you see.”

Looking ahead, Nwaduba envisions making a global impact. “In the next ten years, I hope to work on a larger scale, partnering with organizations like UNICEF to support children in need and continue making impactful films. My ultimate goal is to create foundations that cater to children’s needs and to produce even greater works in the film industry.”

Dolly Nwaduba’s commitment to both her craft and her community highlights her dedication to making a difference both on and off the screen.
