UK Africa Trade Expo 2024 : A platform for Economic Growth

Africa Fashion Week London (AFWL) celebrated its 14th edition over the weekend at Kensington and Chelsea Conference Centre, solidifying its position as Europe’s largest annual African fashion event.

The event commenced with the UK-Africa Trade Expo 24 (Ukate) and an award night honouring trailblazers in various fields, coinciding with Black History Month.

This year’s theme, “Driving Economic Growth Through Connectivity, Innovation and Collaboration,” focuses on revolutionising economic partnerships between the UK and Africa.

Lagos Commissioner for Tourism, Arts, and Culture, Mrs. Toke Benson-Awoyinka, delivered the keynote address. Renowned speakers from diverse backgrounds shared insights on fostering UK-Africa collaborations.

The event showcased African fashion, exploring opportunities for economic growth and development through connectivity, innovation, and collaboration.
