Sola Oyebade Leads Conversation on Global Opportunities for African Fashion ahead of EPIC Show 2026

Epic Fashion Week 2026, formerly known as Epic Show, has been officially unveiled at a press conference, marking a strategic shift in the evolution of Fashions Finest Africa’s role within the African fashion ecosystem. This new direction positions Epic Fashion Week as more than a showcase platform, but a structured ecosystem designed to support emerging designers through visibility, industry access, and long-term development opportunities, with a strong emphasis on sustainable fashion and innovation within the creative industry.

The 2026 edition will take place on May 23 and 24, 2026 at The Podium, Lekki, Lagos, bringing together designers, buyers, media, investors, fashion enthusiasts, and industry stakeholders for a two-day experience centered on discovery, collaboration, and opportunity.

The platform also reflects the broader vision of Fashions Finest Africa through its ecosystem structure, which includes EPIC Fashion Week as its showcase arm, D4DF (Design for the Future) as its sustainability and development-focused initiative.

Speaking during the press conference, Founder of Fashions Finest Africa and producer of Epic Fashion Week, Sola Oyebade “Mr. Mahogany”, said:

“Epic Fashion Week was created to give emerging designers more than visibility. It is about building a real ecosystem where talent can grow, be seen, and connect to opportunities that move them forward. African fashion has always had creativity; what we are doing is building the structure that helps it scale globally and be taken seriously at every level.”

The press conference also reinforced the platform’s focus on sustainable fashion, industry collaboration, and long-term growth for participating designers, positioning Epic Fashion Week as more than a showcase, but a pipeline for talent development and industry engagement. Across the two-day experience, attendees can expect runway presentations, curated designer exhibitions, networking sessions, and industry-led conversations designed to connect emerging talent with buyers, investors, and key stakeholders within the fashion ecosystem.

As African fashion continues to evolve on the global stage, Epic Fashion Week 2026 stands as a meeting point for creativity, commerce, and conscious design, shaping the future of the industry through access, structure, and sustainable growth.
