On 30 March 2026, Faith Morey paid her first visit of the year to Ahmed Memorial Muslim School, a school supported by her Okachi Charity Foundation and as always, she came ready to work. The trip wasn’t just a check-in. It was a reminder of why she started this in the first place.

The Okachi Charity Foundation is named after Faith’s grandmother, a woman whose spirit of giving quietly shaped who Faith is today. That legacy is what drives the foundation’s work and what brought Faith to Ahmed Memorial Muslim School. During the visit, Ms. Morey met with the lady who was the principal of the School when her mother was a teacher there. Moments like that have a way of grounding you in why the work matters.

Faith and her team are putting real structures in place for the children at Ahmed Memorial Muslim Schhol. A summer school programme is in the works, designed to keep kids learning, growing, and engaged when the regular school term ends. Beyond that, OCF is actively sourcing and providing the resources these children need to thrive, from educational materials to developmental support. The goal has always been to give them a genuine shot at more.

During the visit, Faith took time to meet with the volunteer teachers lined up for the summer school, as well as the cleaning staff keeping Ahmed Memorial Muslim School in good shape. Both groups are on OCF’s payroll, because Faith is intentional about making sure the people who show up for these kids are properly taken care of too. That kind of thoughtfulness is exactly what sets OCF apart.
