Top Dog Designers Gains Global Attention with Premium Men’s Native Wear

In the bustling heart of Festac Town, Lagos, where small businesses thrive on hard work and reputation, one fashion brand has quietly built a name that now reaches far beyond Nigeria’s borders.

What began with a sewing machine, determination and a dream has grown into Top Dog Designers, a menswear label steadily becoming a preferred destination for Nigerian men seeking elegance, confidence and culture stitched into every outfit.

Owned by Martins Matins, the Lagos-based fashion entrepreneur started the brand with a clear vision: to give Nigerian men clothing tailored specifically to their body type, style, and occasion, while maintaining the rich identity of native fashion. That vision has paid off.

From bespoke kaftans and regal agbada for wedding to sharply tailored suits, Top Dog Designers has built a loyal customer base that includes businesspeople, grooms, celebrities, and Nigerians in the diaspora.

Today, clients from London, Houston, Toronto and Dubai send in their measurements and receive custom-made outfits directly from Lagos, proof that craftsmanship and trust can travel across continents.

For Martins, however, growth has not changed the philosophy behind the brand.
Every consultation still begins with listening.
At the Festac studio or through virtual consultation, clients discuss the occasion, fabrics are carefully recommended, styles are refined, and every measurement is taken with precision before the first cut is made.
It is a process, Martins says, that cannot be rushed. “Every man deserves clothing made for him, not something generic,” he says. “When the fit and finishing is right, the confidence shows. We have grown to become one of Nigeria’s most notable fashion designers.”

That commitment to detail has become one of Top Dog Designers’ defining strengths.
The brand’s reputation has continued to rise within fashion circles for over two decades in the fashion business.
We have earned some recognitions and awards that have reinforced growing influence in the Nigerian fashion space. It has also showcased designs on Lagos fashion shows, runways and styled public figures for major social and entertainment events.

Yet the real endorsement, Martins says, comes from repeat clients.
Grooms preparing for traditional weddings and traditional title ceremonies rely on the brand for standout agbada ensembles. Corporate executives trust the label for polished suits and formal native wear. Men looking for comfortable but stylish everyday bespoke kaftans continue to return for pieces tailored with clean finishing and detailed embroidery.

For Nigerians in diaspora, the brand has become more than a tailoring service; it has become a connection to home.
Through virtual consultations, measurement guides and curated fabric options, Top Dog Designers makes it possible for diaspora clients to wear authentic Agbada tailors in Lagos without stepping into Nigeria.
Industry observers say brands like Top Dog Designers reflect a broader shift in men’s fashion, where more Nigerian men are prioritizing fit, individuality and premium craftsmanship. Traditional wear, especially agbada and kaftans, has become more structured and modern, while still preserving cultural heritage.

Martins has embraced that evolution.
From earthy tones and rich embroidery to sleek silhouettes designed for weddings, boardrooms and social events, his collections are tailored for men who want to look distinguished without losing cultural identity.
For a brand born in Festac Town, the journey has been remarkable. But for Martins, the goal remains straightforward: keep delivering quality, keep building trust and keep dressing Nigerian men with confidence.
“So, when looking for the best place to get tailors in Festac Town, Or top tailors in Lagos Nigeria, custom kaftan agbada for men, bespoke kaftan, senator wear, men’s traditional wear. For your traditional wedding attire, agbada for the groom, corporate suit. Top Dog Designers is recognized tailor and top male designers Nigeria. we are unarguably the best tailors in Festac town and its environment,” he noted.

And with every carefully stitched outfit leaving the studio, Top Dog Designers continues proving that a local fashion vision from Lagos can become a respected name on a global stage. The brand sits among the best tailors in Festac Town Lagos and ranks as one of the top male designers in Nigeria.
