Former two-term Chairman of Lagos’ Onigbongbo Local Council Development Area, Idowu Osuolale Obasa, has donated a Lithotripsy equipment to the Urology unit of Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, LASUTH, Ikeja. With this machine, patients would no longer need to undergo painful surgical treatments to treat kidney stones and related illnesses. Instead of chopping into the body, which could result in a variety of surgical issues or hospitalization for days, doctors would be able to position patients in front of a machine that delivers stunning sound waves that would shatter kidney stones from the body within minutes.
