Veteran saxophonist and multiple-award winning Nigerian international jazz artiste, Mike Aremu, held the fifth edition of his annual jazz concert tagged ‘Sax Appeal’ on 26 June, 2016 at Eko Hotel, Victoria Island Lagos.
This edition featured multi-Grammy award winning American singer-songwriter, Indie Arie, alongside Nigeria’s King of Soul, Timi Dakolo, and Nigerian R&B singer and songwriter, Praiz.

The world class show kicked off with Isaac Gerald serenading guests with his strong vocals before the man of the moment, Mike Aremu, stepped on stage and blew our minds with unbelievable sounds from his saxophone.

Next was Nigerian R&B songwriter, Praiz, who rocked us with covers like ‘Sexual Healing’, ‘All of Me’ and his hit song, ‘Sisi’. Then came Grammy awards winner, Indie Arie, who took over the show as she appeared on stage with her white and green attire that got guests at the event excited. The American singer performed songs like ‘My Hair’, ‘Brown Skin’ and our own Tiwa Savage’s ‘If I Start to Talk’ and Simi’s ‘Love Don’t Care’. It was a night of great music, awesome performances and beautiful people.

‘Sax Appeal’ has featured the likes of Kenny G, Yolanda Brown, Judith Sephuma, Kunle Ayo, Jessy Jay, Agboola Shadare, Yinka Davies, Tosin Martins, Bez, Cobhams and Waje amongst others.
